Have you heard of a functional health expert?

Let me explain...

The most important part of my clinic is that you get skin expert advice that adds value to you and your skin to slow down the effects of ageing naturally...  But this can NOT be done just by skincare!

I teach people the fundamentals of nutrition and how to overcome bad eating habits and behaviours to help them improve their metabolic age, to understand why they are struggling with lack of energy, low mood, anxiety, gut health, ageing skin, and losing weight.

Skin Rejuvenation Facial

This course of FOUR skin rejuvenation facial treatments is designed to hydrate, reduce wrinkles, improve firmness, reduce pigmentation, remove blemishes and provide radiance in your skin naturally.

During the course of regular skin facial treatments, you will gain confidence and feel fabulous in your skin every day without having to worry about using make-up every day and covering up any blemishes or wrinkles.

All facial treatments in the skin rejuvenation plan work together to give visible results quickly. I call them the best skin treatments you can have for 'today's skin' and invest in next month's skin too - and you'll feel the benefits immediately.

Each facial skin treatment will address common issues like dehydration, pH imbalance, open pores, oily patches, blackheads and fine lines.

Followed by the stimulation from either; microneedling or radio frequency to stimulate collagen and elastin for smoother, more radiant skin - or HIFU to tighten and firm your eyes, cheeks, and jawline, giving you a pro-ageing natural facelift.

Your skin will be firmer, hydrated, and brighter instantly from the first treatment. Further treatments will only enhance the skin cell-turner and encourage firmer younger-looking skin over the 12-week treatment plan.

Starting with epidermal techniques, Mesotherapy and advanced Microneedling treatments with Skin Perfusion [Fillmed] NCTF135 Mesotherapy Serum, your skin will instantly improve.

These treatments address hydration, fine lines, and wrinkles to improve your skin health [cellular ageing] to a level - which can not be achieved from high-street facials or even advanced take-home skincare.

Overall the Skin Rejuvenation Plan is the perfect treatment plan to give your skin a natural make-over so you can begin to understand what can be achieved with these types of treatments on a regular basis.

Ageing skin can make you feel unattractive and self-conscious, and these negative feelings can impact every area of your life. If you've been on the hunt for surgical procedures, wait for a moment, and let me share the five best skin treatments to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and saggy skin to boost collagen and help you look younger as an alternative the cosmetic injectables.

The best anti-ageing treatments are the ones that do NOT solve one problem; the best anti-ageing or pro-ageing skin treatments are when they address all of your appearances concerns and improve your overall skin in one treatment.

Anti-ageing skin treatments can be layered or combined with other treatments in one session to tackle several skin issues simultaneously. Why only treat your forehead when your jawline is starting to sag too.

Combination skin treatments refer to the application of two or more skin treatments in one session to tackle several skin issues simultaneously. They are specially layered: the deepest collagen induction followed by other targeted therapies.

Apart from treating all of your skin concerns in one treatment, there are other benefits to combination skin treatments;-

Save Time - Preparing and completing a single skin treatment several times takes much longer than doing it simultaneously. Getting all of your necessary treatments in one go saves you quite a bit of time and repetitive trips to the clinic.

Save money - Since combination skin treatments are applied all in one visit, this reduces travel costs, and therapist time, as you won't have several clinic visit charges.

Next, I'll delve more deeply into these treatments and the advantages of combining these treatments.

How to improve ageing skin?

To improve your skin appearance, it's crucial to focus on both the outer layer of skin and the health of your skin cells beneath the surface.

That's what these five best skin treatments do. However, you can enjoy these individually for the ultimate best anti-ageing skin treatment; or you can combine them all in one session.

No.1:  High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) Face lift

The HIFU Face Lift is the first best anti-ageing skin treatment. It is a non-surgical facelift that helps to improve the skin's texture and make you look younger. Unlike a surgical facelift, HIFU is non-invasive, requiring no incisions, and has a lower upfront cost than surgical facelifts. While HIFU facelift treatments can give you instant results, it could take several treatments to see results in some cases.

What's interesting about this skin treatment is that it incorporates the use of focused ultrasound energy. The ultrasound technology heats the skin cells to the point that they are damaged, and the body attempts to repair them by increasing the amount of collagen produced.

Your skincare expert will apply ultrasound gel to your face and then administer the treatment by placing the HIFU handpiece across your face in the direction it should be lifted.

Many people are turning to HIFU facelifts to naturally turn back the clock, and here are several reasons why:

It provides a visible improvement in your face within six months and lasts for further 12-18 months.

The vast majority of people who get this treatment see an improvement in their skin.

The only risks associated with this procedure are swelling and redness at the treatment site.

It costs a small fraction of what a surgical facelift might cost.

No 2: Skin Facial Peel

After the HIFU treatment, begging the skin rejuvenation using the skin peels

The purpose of the skin peel is to remove the uppermost layers of skin to reveal new, more youthful skin underneath.

We apply a pre-peel solution and then the peeling solution, which will slough off dead skin cells to get the process started. After which, a post-peel solution will be applied to finish off the process.

It's important to know that skin peels alone will not remedy all of your skin issues. They are great as a part of multi-step skin treatment, but you shouldn't expect drastic results with a skin peel only.

Skin peels are the foundation to balancing skin pH and hydration levels; a light skin peel helps to reduce the fine lines and wrinkles, dark spots and sun-damaged skin. They are often called chemical peel as they contain acid but don't be alarmed they work well on all skin types and encourage the absorption of hyaluronic acid, which is applied either at home or in skin treatments.

Benefits of skin peels for ageing skin

Skin peels are some of the most helpful skin treatments, providing the following benefits:

  • Treatment for active acne and acne spots.
  • Fading the appearance of scars
  • Reducing the signs of ageing, like age spots and freckles.
  • Softening the skin and making it more supple.
  • Smoothing wrinkles and fine lines.

No 3: Microneedling for Sagging skin

Microneedling mesotherapy treatment is a derma roller or pen treatment designed to increase the production of collagen in the skin. The procedure is regarded as safe and is a great way to improve your skin's appearance through internal rejuvenation.

How microneedling works

The microneedling device pricks areas of your skin with tiny needles to initiate healing and collagen production. While the procedure does involve the use of tiny needles, it is minimally invasive and easily tolerated by most patients. We apply a specialized serum to nourish the skin and maximize the effects of the treatment.

Microneedling has many benefits, including:

  • Increased skin smoothness, firmness, and brightness.
  • Less invasive than other skin treatments.
  • Quick procedure with no downtime.
  • Combats acne scarring.

No 4: Mesotherapy for Face

Mesotherapy is the next option in the combination of treatments. It is a relatively new skin treatment that involves injecting the skin with a solution of beneficial enzymes, vitamins, and other skin-loving ingredients. Skin experts use this procedure to restore youthfulness to your face and increase collagen production.

How mesotherapy therapy works

A professional therapist injects the solution into your problem areas with wrinkles, low volume, sagging, or excess fat in mesotherapy. The solution used is formulated specifically for your unique skin issues. The amount, location, and depth of the injection will depend on the desired result and is up to the professional's discretion.

Unlike some other treatments, this one may come with a bit of pain. However, it'll be nothing more than a small pinch when the needle penetrates your skin. For most people, the pain is tolerated.

Dermatological professionals use mesotherapy to correct a myriad of skin issues, including but not limited to:

  • Making wrinkles and fine lines less noticeable.
  • Reducing the appearance of cellulite.
  • Improving hyperpigmentation through skin brightening.
  • It helps to reduce brown spots

Main benefits of mesotherapy

There are tons of benefits associated with mesotherapy, including:

  • The treatment has various uses, from sculpting and wrinkle fading to body sculpting and skin tightening.
  • The results of mesotherapy are instantaneous in most cases, allowing you to see changes right away.
  • The procedure can be done in less than a half-hour, depending on your desired results.
  • It's a non-invasive therapy that requires no downtime.

No 5: LED Light Therapy

To complete all anti-ageing skin treatments with LED Light Therapy. This treatment utilizes various wavelengths to help take years off your face. You don't have to worry about radiation, as LED light therapy has nothing to do with UV rays. Different wavelengths are believed to have various effects on the skin: blue is used to treat acne, while red is used to improve ageing skin by promoting collagen production.

After applying a hydrating skin mask to your face, the facial will conclude with LED light. Placed over the face, the treatment takes anywhere from 10 minutes to a half-hour to penetrate into the skin and stimulate the inflammatory response and create collagen.

Benefits of LED light therapy

LED light therapy is gaining popularity all over the world because of its benefits, including:

  • The treatment is affordable on most budgets.
  • It helps to slow the skin ageing process by reducing the appearance of age spots and wrinkles.
  • It doesn't require any downtime.

In summary; By the end of any of these best five anti-ageing treatments or if you have them all at one session, you'll see a marked difference in the look of your skin. However, it may take several treatments to get the full results:

  • increased hydration
  • reduction in fine lines
  • increased brightness
  • less saggy skin
  • improved neck creepiness
  • a lifted look around the jawline

To conclude: The five best anti-ageing skin treatments focus on all of your skin concerns in one treatment instead of looking to solve one issue.

Individually, HIFU, Skin peels, Microneedling, mesotherapy and LED Skin facial treatments can treat all of your skin goals in one session. But the most cost and time-effective way to address ageing skin concerns such as wrinkles and sagging skin are to layer some or all of the five best anti-ageing skin treatments into one session.

Learn what you can do to slow the effects of ageing skin

There are so many clues on your skin to what is happening inside us, yet most of us keep searching for skincare as a solution to address aging process forgetting that the quality of your skin can be influenced by so many other factors.

If you are looking to reduce the effects of your aging skin my best advice is to take more of a functional approach to achieving a more youthful appearance.

The headline is that your skin type can reveal clues about your metabolic health, so investing money in expensive anti aging products if your metabolic health pathways are not functioning efficiently, can be a waste of time and effort - let alone money.

Your aging skin is a window to your overall health.

Skin is the largest organ of your body and is a window to your overall health.

There are so many clues to what is happening inside us, yet most of us keep searching for external solutions to reduce facial wrinkles, forgetting that the quality of your skin can be an accurate indicator of health conditions.

How to target the signs of aging skin

  1. Improve metabolic health: Reduce blood sugars, improve liver and gut function
  2. Increase skin cell turnover
  3. Stimulate collagen production with treatments

No 1. Improve your Metabolic Health

The three main metabolic pathways that impact how your skin ages is delivery of energy in your cells, clearance of toxins from the food you eat and absorption of nutrients from a balanced gut microbiome.

If there is a lack of blood sugar control, sluggish liver function and gut dysbiosis your skin health will be affected as these metabolic pathways influence your skin cell membrane health and impact the signs of intrinsic ageing on your skin.

Research suggests that your blood sugar levels cause deep wrinkles, blemishes, and thick sagging skin.

Lack of blood sugar control contributes to the formation of advanced glycation end-products [AGE], exacerbating stress and hormonal imbalances.

Every blood sugar molecule is individually responsible for providing energy to all of your body's cells, yet they all play different parts. Nonetheless, they must all manufacture mitochondria, the power station and the life cycle of each cell, including your skin cells, in your body.

Any imbalance of blood sugar creates a reduction in sensitivity to insulin and is a risk factor for age related diseases.

Your liver has a central role in the systemic regulation of your blood sugars and clearing out toxins from the food you eat and the skin products you put on your skin.

Sluggish liver function influences the oil or sebum production on your skin. With too much, you have oily or greasy skin and too little results in dry dehydrated skin.

The absorption of the nutrients from the food you consume is also necessary for the delivery of energy, and your gut microbiome influences this.

The function of your gut microbiome depends on your stomach acid's pH balance. Any imbalance created by food and medications, such as antacids, will impact the absorption of the raw ingredients you consume.

Gut dysbiosis creates inflammation within your gut with triggers the immune response and is commonly seen on the skin as dry, itchy skin which leads to fine lines and wrinkles

No 2. Increase skin cell turnover

Common signs of aging skin are caused by the slowing down of the new skin cells' life cycle. As we age this can reduce from 28 days to 50+ days.

As a result, our skin cells don't mature as quickly when we are 50 years old compared to when we're in our 30s.

These mature skin cells build up a layer of dead skin cells on the surface of our skin. This is evident as skin discolouration, dull-looking, tired skin with a loss of radiance and more facial wrinkles.

To slow down these effects of dull, thick or waxy skin is to encourage an optimal skin cell life cycle as we age.

The great news is that improving your skin cell turnover can be done at home every day with your skincare routine.

Your skincare routine at home should be simple and include maintaining the pH level of your skin with a gentle cleanser and toner for exfoliating away the dead skin cells by lowering the pH level slightly and then adding in proper nutrients via active ingredients serums and boosters for tissue repair before completing the routine by sealing in moisture and protecting skin from the sun and UVA sun rays with creams that contain SPF50+.

Simplifying your skincare routine such as my 3-step method will help to improve the overall health of your skin cells and reduce premature ageing from harmful uv rays.

The simple system is about focusing on your skin health rather than choosing products based on what you believe your skin type.

No 3. Stimulate collagen production with treatments at home or in-clinic

The third effective way to slow down the effects of ageing is to regularly and consistently create a controlled trauma to stimulate an inflammatory response within your skin cells.

The body's natural response to the controlled trauma is to generate fibroblasts, which are the building blocks of your skin matrix.

These are the fundamental components of your skin matrix, in which they create new extracellular matrix (ECM) and collagen structures to aid the skin's strength and structure.

The inflammatory response also creates new blood vessels which increase the oxygen and nutrient-rich blood flow to the skin. This combination of events works together to create a lifting, firming and plumping effect on the skin.

You can use skin treatments at home or in-clinic to stimulate collagen production within your skin cells.

The best results from the controlled trauma come from a slow and low approach by reducing the intensity of the treatment with sufficient time for the skin to recover.

There are several ways to stimulate collagen from home with little to no down time. The simplest way is to use a microneedling device such as the microneedling stamp, which is an electronic device that uses very fine needles to create micro-wounds in the skin.

The other way is with a HIFU device, which uses high-intensity ultrasound waves to stimulate collagen production.

Both of these devices can be used at home with little to no downtime. The results from these treatments can be seen after 3-4 weeks from a single treatment.

For best results, it's important to use a high-quality serum that contains important nutrients such as growth factors, peptides, hyaluronic acid and vitamin c. These serums help to speed up the repair process and aid in the production of collagen and skin elasticity.

Treatments in-clinic also include microneedling, radiofrequency and HIFU to stimulate collagen. These treatments are more intense than at-home treatments and will require some downtime for the skin to recover.

This trauma should be regular and consistent to give a more youthful appearance.

The best in-clinic skin treatments to achieve healthy skin are:

  • Skin Peels - will remove the top surface of your skin and encourage the skin cell turnover and reduce the appearance of pigmentation and sun damage
  • Microneedling - this treatment stimulates the skin’s natural healing response by inflicting a small degree of trauma. The body then reacts by boosting its production of collagen in this part of the skin, making it tighter and firmer.
  • Mesotherapy - is the insertion of nutrient-dense serum into the skin to encourage the strength and synthesis of collagen and elastin.
  • Radiofrequency - Radiofrequency (RF) microneedling delivers high-intensity radiofrequency energy into the targeted tissue through tiny openings in the skin made by needles to tighten the collagen fibres and improve the skin's overall appearance.
  • High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound - Also known as HIFU is a non-surgical face lift treatment that uses ultrasound energy to heat the deep layers of the skin without damaging the surface. This stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which helps to lift and improve tone, ideal under the chin and jawline
  • LED Therapy is the application of light energy to the skin to improve various skin concerns, such as wrinkles, redness, acne and enlarged pores.

In summary, when it comes to effective ways to slow down the effects of ageing skin, it’s important to remember that there is only so much you can do on your own with topical skincare. If you want to reduce the effects of ageing on your skin, it is essential to consider your skin health not just skin type for younger looking skin.

To address any skin health concerns, improving your metabolic health is an essential first step to getting to the root cause of slowing down the rate your skin is ageing.

Next is to increase your skin cell turnover with an effective 3-Step Method skin care routine that manages the pH levels of skin to encourage skin cell turnover, resulting in a natural radiance, clear bright skin.

And finally, stimulate an inflammatory response by creating trauma in your skin to encourage the production of collagen and skin elasticity for firmer, lifted tighter skin - naturally!

To conclude, you can not stop the signs of ageing on your skin, but there are three ways you can slow it down. Each one will improve your skin health, which educates your skin cells to naturally fight back against the internal and external factors that commonly age your skin.

Professional skin advice is to have a facial every month to maintain a short skin cell turnover cycle. This provides strength in your skin cell and prevents the build-up of thick dull skin cells.

A skin facial will improve the condition of your skin each time and the effects can be cumulative. It removes dead skin cells to brighten the skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles, then replenishes lost nutrients for a younger, fresher look.
